Panelboard

Description
The Mertech Panelboard is a fully fitted wall mounted distribution board with top or bottom entry to give the contractor maximum flexibility.

Range
Incoming up to 400, 630, 800,1000 and 1250 Amps.
Outgoing 12, 24 and 36 SP ways.
Busbar rating 400, 630, 800,1000 & 1250 Amps TP with N & E bars.

Technical data
Manufactured to BSEN 60439-1.
Busbars rated to size of incomer.
Busbars are TP ASTA tested to 50kA/1sec.
Fully welded sheet steel construction.
Removable gland plate.
Degree of protection IP55.
Form 3b type 2 as standard.
Epoxy Powder finish--RAL 7032.
Lockable overall front doors.

Neutral Bar
Incoming M10 bolted connection.
Outgoing (all bolts provided)
12 Way = 10 x M8 bolts
24 Way = 18 x M8 bolts
36 Way = 28 x M8 bolts

Earth Bar
Incoming 2 x M10 bolted connection.
Outgoing 28 x M6 bolts.

MCCB's

Connection details

All breakers are fitted as standard with terminals and nuts for direct connection with cable lugs. Cable spreaders are available as an optional extra to assist with larger cables.

Extension boxes are also available to give extra cabling space and are recommended with cables over 240mm sq.

The Mertech TPN Panelboards utilise a standard configuration allowing SP and TP MCCB's to be fitted to the fault rated busbar system. The boards fault level is determined by the incomer size:
Incomer               Icu
400-630A     =     45kA
800-1250A   =     50kA
Although outgoing breakers have a lower fault level they are protected to the level of the incomer by cascading protection. Outgoing breakers have fault ratings as follows:

16-100A     =       25kA
160-250A   =       36kA

MCCB's are manufactured to BS EN 60947-2
Ics = 100% Icu
Calibration Temp 40 o C.
Thermal adjustment (TP):
16A - 250 A  = 0.8 - 1 x In.
400A - 1250 A = 0.4 - 1 x In.
